Specialty Food Broker Gene Rorah Dies At 85

Sept. 19, 2013

Long time industry veteran Gene Rorah passed away Sept. 18 after a brief illness. Rorah was a pioneer in becoming a specialty food broker, catering to vending back in the early 1970s when he owned and operated a manufacturing company that supplied syrup to vendors. This was during the time when post mix cold drink machines were the only way consumers were able to get cold soda. Rorah was a founding member of the National Vending Brokers Association which  allowed suppliers one-stop-shop for market coverage nationally for their vending products.

Rorah was 85 when he passed, just a few short weeks of his 86th birthday. He will missed by his family and friends.
