The Bridgman school district in Michigan recently discussed using a “smart” vending machine as a solution to the problem of long lines in the cafeteria during lunch, according to The Herald-Palladium. The school is calling the machine a separate cafeteria line. It would calculate the student’s product selection to ensure it met the federal school meal standards.
