Fox’s Tucker Carlson To Speak At NAMA’S Public Policy Conference

Sept. 11, 2013

NAMA’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Eric Dell announced that Tucker Carlson, co-host of Fox and Friends Weekend, will serve as a special guest speaker at NAMA’s Public Policy Conference to be held in Washington, D.C., in early October.

“As a veteran journalist and political commentator, we look forward to hearing Carlson’s perspective on issues impacting the industry,” said Dell, in a prepared statement. “Our goal in executing ‘Advocacy in Action’ is to deliver NAMA’s message on priority policy issues related to healthy choices and government regulations and to reinforce recognition of NAMA as the primary resource for federal policy makers on vending and refreshment services.”

Board members, government affairs committee members and emerging leaders from NAMA will meet with members of Congress representing districts where they live and work. Discussions with members of Congress will focus on: health, nutrition and wellness; electronic payment fees; coin and currency and the effects of federal regulatory expansion.

In addition to meetings with members of Congress, conference attendees plan to meet with government agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The U.S. Mint, the Department of Defense (DOD), and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
