Saverino & Associates, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Don Cappelen, sales team associate, frozen food specialist to its vend sales staff.
Cappelen has been with Saverino & Associates, Inc. since March of 2012. He began in the retail division and recently was promoted to the vend division as a frozen food specialist. In addition, Cappelen also is responsible for segments in commissary, cutlery and refrigerated vend machine products.
Cappelen is a 32 year veteran in this industry and during his career, he has launched several new products and marketing programs winning him honor and praise from all of the companies he has represented.
Cappelen’s vast background in sales and marketing enables him to excel in the development of exceptional customer relations. He began his career in 1981 as a young man in the candy industry working for E.J. Brach’s & Sons in Chicago winning awards and advancing to become the youngest division manager in the company. He also held management positions with Dae Julie Candy and J.B. Sanfillipo Nut Co. He worked over 20 years for F&F Foods as a national sales manager and with this experience and background he understands the importance of facilitating relationships between distributors, brokers and customers.
Cappelen is familiar and known to many customers and is very eager to meet his new customers and use his vast experience and expertise to respond to their needs and sales goals. He lives in Schaumburg, Ill.
