Micro Coffee Roaster Announces Single-Cup Offering

July 19, 2013

Just Love Coffee Roasters announced that it has started producing single-cup packaging for its most popular varieties of hand roasted coffees. The new packaging carries the name Love Ones and will be available online and through retailers starting August 1st. The coffees are all USDA Organic, Fair Trade, Kosher and the packaging is recyclable.

Although the single-cup coffee market saw $11.8 billion in sales in 2012 up from $103 million in 2007 - single cup production has been out of reach for most artisan roasters due to the cost involved, according to the release. Beyond cost, members of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) have also raised questions of quality and sustainability.

“As a member of the SCA we never thought we would be able to offer a single-cup option. We took our time to find the right vendor and by bringing all production in-house we can offer the highest quality coffee in single-cup packaging, that is USDA Organic, Fair Trade and the packaging is recyclable,” said Rob Webb, Founder and President of Just Love Coffee Roasters.
