Judge Overrules New York Large Beverage Ban

The proposed ban on large-size sugary drinks in New York City was struck down by state Supreme Court Justice Milton Tingling just before it was set to take effect, according to the Associated Press. Justice Tingling ruled that the first-in-the-nation measure singles out only some beverages and establishments, has a number of loopholes and finally the  Board of Health intruded on City Council authority. The city plans to appeal the ruling soon. Full article.
