New Study Links Diet Soda To Weight Loss

Researchers who suggested that drinking diet soda disrupts hormones involved in hunger, urging people to eat more, are being opposed by a new study showing that diet soda drinkers don’t eat any more sugary or fatty foods than people who stick with water, according to Reuters and NBC News. The study, which included 318 overweight or obese adults in North Carolina who all said they consumed at least 280 calories of soda each day, showed that when switching to diet soda, after three and six month periods, the group reported weight loss.
