The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) will offer a number of opportunities for attendees to learn more about micro markets before and during its upcoming trade show, OneShow, hosted April 24 to 26 at the Venetian-Sands Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. OneShow is a perennial event where key players in the vending and refreshment services industry can gather and network with one another.
Before the show, operators interested in the fast growing segment can attend NAMA’s micro market seminar titled 'Where We Are, Where We’re Going and How to Get There,' from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. Attendees will receive exclusive access to industry expert and consultant Brad Bachtelle's newly gathered research, which will reveal previously unavailable insights into micro markets. A variety of presenters will also contribute to this day-long workshop covering such topics as best practices, current data from micro market operations, sales volumes, merchandising, product proliferation, fresh/non-food products, equipment, transaction analysis, warehouse and route logistics, product security and shrinkage control. This full-day seminar requires a separate registration, which is $129 through March 31, 2013. Registration includes a working lunch.

On April 24, attendees can take part in a micro market super session from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. also led by Brad Bachtelle and followed by a breakout session from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The breakout session features a Q&A experience with the industry’s leading micro market suppliers, moderated by Emily Refermat, the editor of Automatic Merchandiser. Attendees will learn from suppliers about this expanding business segment, its long- and short-term growth potential, consumer reactions and implementation tips. In addition to answering questions, the presenters will share success stories and challenges.
