Book Vending Machine Offers Solution For Struggling Library

A book-dispensing vending machine is being considered as part of a temporary solution in Kansas for a Monticello branch of the Johnson County Library while money is being raised for construction, according to the Shawnee Dispatch. The kiosk could hold over 2,000 books and would cost $760,000. Most of the reading material would be geared for children. The machine would satisfy a requirement that the library use the land by 2020. Full article.
