Five Star Food Service Inc., based in Chattanooga, Tenn., recently acquired the Light Vending Co.’s Douglas, Ga. operation from owner Brantley McMinn, for an undisclosed sum. The 9-route, warehouse and management employees will all be retained and the assets and associates folded into Five Star Food Service.
"Five Star is pleased with the associates gained in the acquisition and their laser focus on customer service and client retention," Alan Recher, president of Five Star Food Service told VendingMarketWatch.
The Light Vending Co. will still run a Brunswick, Ga. operation.
