Joann DeNardis, the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) associate director of OneShow and member services, recently announced that registration is available for NAMA’s Supervisor Development Program. The program will be held at the Venetian-Sands in Las Vegas from April 22 to 24, 2013, in the days leading up to the NAMA OneShow.

“This session is a must for team leaders and operational contributors,” DeNardis said in a prepared statement. “The program provides a comprehensive overview of critical leadership skills, time management and delegation. Participants will also learn customer service essentials and understand how to energize employees for peak performance and so much more.”

The talented and experienced faculty leading the program includes Dr. Ron Cichy, Ph.D., NCE5, CHA Emeritus and director of the school of hospitality business at Michigan State University, who will lecture on personal leadership development, decision-making, effective communication and time management.

Jim Proebstle, president and founder of Prodyne, Inc., will lead the Tuesday, April 23, session on problem-solving and successful project management with DeNardis focusing on employee relations and effective hiring practices. Rick Leffke, president of R.C. Leffke & Associates, will provide tips for coaching for top performance, personal selling skills and customer service.  The program will conclude on Wednesday, April 24, with a graduation ceremony.

“By using real-world scenarios, first-rate instructors and time-tested methodology, the SDP program really delivers value” DeNardis said. “Participants will complete the program with a Personal Action Plan, putting their new knowledge and skills to work to advance their career and boost company performance.”

“New supervisors, entry-level managers, mid-level and even ‘non-supervisors’ will benefit from this program,” she added. “It’s great for anyone looking to network and build relationships in this industry.”

Registration is now open at www.NAMAOneShow.org. Discounts are available for NAMA member companies registering multiple employees. All paid participants are eligible for a discounted badge to attend the OneShow, April 24-26. Interested attendees can learn more about the program on NAMA’s website.
