Using technology from LaptopsAnytime, a supplier of laptop dispensing kiosks, Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa., has begun dispensing MacBooks to students free of charge, according to VentureBeat. The MacBook vending machine, located at the library, can be accessed by students using their campus ID cards. The kiosk was a placed as a solution for students concerned about being mugged while toting their personal laptops around campus. Full article.
