NAMA Launches Route Driver Webinar Series

Dec. 21, 2012

The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) recently announced a webinar series designed to provide “best practice” knowledge for hiring and developing high-performing route drivers. The four-part series, beginning on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, with successive sessions on the following three Thursdays is available to NAMA members for $199.

Over 300 route drivers were surveyed to develop research helping operators identify, hire and retain top-level talent, as well as turn low performers into high performers. The route driver study revealed insight regarding broad-reaching issues including rules, regulations, scheduling preferences and work environment.

Dan Mathews, executive vice president and COO, said in a prepared statement: “This webinar series focuses one of the most important elements of our members’ business: the route driver. In effect, the route driver is the “face” of the members’ brand and the key to customer relations.”

“With this series, we are responding to the many operators who ask for this much-needed information. Operators want better insight into where they can find top-notch route drivers – this webinar will do just that,” he continued.

The four-part webinar series, featuring more than six hours of teaching, tools and support materials, includes a 14-page white paper and a LinkedIn page to facilitate interaction between participants, instructors and top leaders in the industry. Each webinar is 90 minutes.

NAMA members will also receive a job posting template, an employment and career history application template, as well as an on-boarding and training checklist.

The series is $199 for NAMA members. For registration and other information, contact Joann DeNardis at [email protected]. Online registration will be available in the coming days.

NAMA partnered with Win the Bigger Game, a talent management agency based in suburban Chicago, to produce the series. Win the Bigger Game specializes in assessing talent and using the knowledge gained to build highly productive teams. Three experts from Win the Bigger Game will host the series.
