Chicago Aldermen Debate Healthy Snack Restrictions In Vending Machines

At a city council committee meeting in Chicago, Ill., a number of aldermen discussed the issue of healthy snacks in vending machines when considering Mayor Rahm Emanuel's plan for healthy products, according to the Sun Times. Compass, which operators the city's vending program, is installing telemetry software, which will allow the city to see exactly what consumers are buying. The snack restrictions ultimately passed the city council. Full article.
