10 Individuals Accused Of Candy Vending Machine Scam

The United States Department of Justice unsealed an Indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Miami, Fla., charging 10 individuals in connection with a vending machine scam involving bulk candy vending machines that defrauded thousands of victims, according to Forbes.  The Indictment alleges that managers, sales representatives and operators of "locating companies" associated with Multivend LLC, d/b/a Vendstar, made material misrepresentations about the profits that would be generated at various locations and most investors lost most or all of their investment. The defendants could face a 10 to 20 year prison term if found guilty. Full article.
