Western Diet Increases Risk Of Stroke

The Western diet high in fat, salt and sugar shows signs of increasing stroke and premature death, according to Health Day. The study, performed in Canada, showed that rats offered treats developed metabolic syndrome, including high blood pressure, cholesterol, obesity and more, which are factors that increase the risk of stroke.
