Glacier Water Purchases Aqua Fill Water Vending Business

Glacier Water Services, Inc has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire the assets of the Aqua Fill water vending business.

Brian McInerney, chief executive officer of Glacier Water, said, in a prepared statement, “We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement to acquire the assets of the Aqua Fill water vending business. We expect to close the transaction by the end of October and will work aggressively to integrate the Aqua Fill business into our operations. We believe the acquisition will improve our geographic density and improve the financial performance of the company.”

Aqua Fill currently operates over 1,600 water vending machines located mainly in the western U.S. With the acquisition of the Aqua Fill water vending machines, Glacier will operate more than 23,000 machines in 46 states throughout the United States and Canada, providing high quality, great tasting drinking water and premium ice.
