PepsiCo Testing New Diet Pepsi Sweetener

PepsiCo is reportedly testing different sweeteners for its Diet Pepsi drink to prevent a loss in flavor as the soda moves through distribution channels, according the MarketWatch news. The artificial sweetener used in the U.S. Diet Pepsi, aspartame, breaks down with rough transport and high temperatures, which changes the taste. PepsiCo is considering making the formula more similar to version in other countries, where different sweetener blends are used. Full article.
