Brian Gill, president of the New York State Automatic Vending Association (NYSAVA) informed members that a bill to exempt from sales tax items sold through a vending machine for $1.50 or less has been passed by the state Assembly. Coupled with the Senate passage two weeks ago, this brings us to the home stretch towards enactment.

Gill noted he will be representing NYSAVA at Governor Cuomo's fund raiser Tuesday evening in New York City, with hopes of continuing to further develop awareness of the association’s concerns and garner the necessary support to ensure final passage.

Gill urged members to reach out to their local senators and assemblymen to say a most sincere "thank you" for their support.
