Kentucky Health Department Requires Healthier Snacks In Vending Machines, Encourages Other Locations To Follow

The Lexington-Fayette County health department has opted for foods and drinks that meet strict nutritional guidelines in its campus vending machines, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Lexington, Ky. The department relied on a combination of federal suggestions and those from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a national nutrition group.
