Tennessee County Consolidates Snack Vending Operators To Improve Nutrition

Editor’s Insight: School health coordinators and foodservice directors are taking a bigger role in developing school vending standards. Many school districts are also realizing that to offer more nutritional products, it makes sense to centralize the decision making for vending service.

Consolidating the vending contract among different buildings is one way to accomplish this.
