Cantaloupe Systems announced its expanded Seed Platform, an intelligent vending platform now optimized for Intel® architecture. This will help to redefine the consumer experience and reinvent vending as an innovative channel for retailers and brands. Vending machines will incorporate an embedded computer, where the technology ensures significant cost savings and increased revenue opportunities for vending operators. The easy-to-use touchscreen interface on these vending machines will enable consumers to purchase multiple items in a single transaction, and overall, encourage personalized interaction with vending machines. Consumers will have access to video advertisements that are relevant to them, lookup FDA mandated calorie disclosures, provide feedback, and receive promotional coupons.
