As the deadline for filing taxes is quickly approaching, here’s a last minute tip: don’t forget to cash in on the Great American Coffee Refund. During the final push to Tax Day, Seattle’s Best Coffee, part of Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX), is offering a perk – free coffee – with the Great American Coffee Refund: the first 100,000 people to claim their Coffee Refund on Facebook will receive a free sample of Seattle’s Best Coffee. Just like paper check refunds from the IRS, the Coffee Refund will be delivered straight to taxpayers’ mailboxes.

“Any way you crunch the numbers, Tax Day deadlines are stressful for millions of Americans,” said Chris Bruzzo, chief marketing officer for Seattle’s Best Coffee in a prepared statement. “We hope that the Great American Coffee Refund will help make Tax Day a little brighter for the hardworking Americans filling out forms for Uncle Sam.”

Claiming the Great American Coffee Refund won’t require a W-2, tax forms or a calculator. Taxpayers can visit the Seattle’s Best Coffee Facebook Page to request their free sample* of the Level System coffee that brews a 10-cup pot of delicious coffee. The deadline for claiming a Coffee Refund is midnight on April 17, or while supplies last.

Because nothing goes together better with a Coffee Refund than an IRS refund, Seattle’s Best Coffee is joining Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, the nation’s second largest tax preparation firm, to optimize taxpayers’ returns. Taxpayers who visit a participating Jackson Hewitt kiosk located in more than 2,200 Walmart store locations nationwide will receive a $3 off coupon for Seattle’s Best Coffee, immediately redeemable in the coffee aisle at Walmart. The $3 off coupon is more than a 50 percent deduction off the suggested retail price of Seattle’s Best Coffee. In addition, fans of Seattle’s Best Coffee on Facebook can print out a coupon for $25 off tax preparation at Jackson Hewitt. According to Jackson Hewitt, millions of Americans have yet to file their tax return, so Jackson Hewitt tax pros at the Walmart kiosks will be available every day between now and April 17 to prepare and electronically file tax returns – and with extended hours in many locations and no appointment necessary.

“The final push to Tax Day is underway,” said Debra Dowd, chief marketing officer of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. “We are set to assist taxpayers with meeting the filing deadline with our conveniently located kiosks in Walmart stores. Our tax pros will work with taxpayers to achieve the best possible outcome on their tax return. And this year, we’re teaming up with Seattle’s Best Coffee to give our Walmart kiosk clients an extra perk during the final days of this year’s tax filing season.”

Those who want to expedite their “Coffee Refund” can get a free small cup of brewed coffee at participating Seattle’s Best Coffee locations on Tax Day, Tuesday, April 17. To find a participating Seattle’s Best Coffee location, visit www.facebook.com/seattlesbestcoffee.
