Editor’s Insight: It was only a matter of time before one of the national commercial foodservice chains jumped on the food truck bandwagon.

The entry of the big guys will draw more government scrutiny to these trucks, which is fine. Government regulatory agencies need to have rules in place to ensure public safety.

Opponents of the Burger King trucks are raising the health and wellness aspect of the products Burger King sells. But Burger King and its competitors aren’t going miss out on the opportunity to meet customers’ needs; if menu adjustments are called for, so be it.
