    A group of undergraduate students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created a machine, HelmetHub, which dispenses headgear to what until now have been the mostly helmetless riders of Hubway, the bicycle-sharing system that burst onto the scene in Boston, Mass. last summer with 60 sleek, modular solar-powered stations and 600 bikes.
