Report Indicates Calorie Postings Discourage Teens From Buying Soda

Signs that bring attention to the number of calories in sugary beverages have the power to dissuade teens from buying them, according to a new study published in the American Journal of Public Health, CNN reported. For the full story, click here

The Food and Drug Administration has not yet released its calorie disclosure rules for vending. It is supposed to release the rules some time in 2012. Following the announcement, the industry will have one year to comply.
