Liam Hartnett, president of the Illinois Automatic Merchandising Council (IAMC), and the IAMC board have issued a memorial tribute to Brian B. Allen, who passed away in October and has established an education fund for his two children.

Allen began his career in the vending industry in 1979 after earning a bachelor and master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago. His vast knowledge, talents, and guidance made a remarkable impact on the organization and Brian will be greatly missed by all of us.

Allen leaves his wife Cathy and two children, Jackie and Jason. To honor Brian’s memory and express appreciation for the fine work he has done for our industry for over 30 years, an educational trust fund  has been established for his children.

The IAMC encourages donations to this fund. Checks should be made payable to: Jackie & Jason Allen School Fund and forwarded directly to: Jackie & Jason Allen School Fund, C/O: Harris Bank, 1007 West Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, Attn: Dave Turner, 847-506-1007
