The Northern Iowan, the student newspaper at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Ia., examined the reasons the vended beverage prices were higher than other campuses after the associate director of security and systems noticed that there was a significant difference in the beverage offerings at Virginia Tech and prices from those at UNI. Editor’s Insight: As a followup to this article, the student newspaper might want to survey students to see if they in fact are satisfied with the options available as the director of dining services claims.
