YMCA of Long Island will honor John Murn, president of Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Answer Vending Inc., and his family with an event titled “Diamonds & Burlap” dinner dance and auction on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch in Hauppauge, N.Y.
There will be a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6 p.m. followed by the main auction and dinner at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will support the cost of the 2012 John Murn and Family/YMCA Teen Centers.
Tom Young, director of development for YMCA of Long Island, said the Murn family is being honored for outstanding support for 25-plus years.
