Kraft Foods Inc. Gives Vending Operators Chance To Fight Hunger And Win A Trip

Through its second annual Huddle To Fight Hunger program, Kraft Foods will donate one meal to local Feeding America food banks for every case purchased of qualifying Oreo and Planters Peanuts products between Aug. 29 and Nov. 4, 2011.1 Vending operators who participate in the program are given the chance to win a trip for two to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco.

With a goal of providing 25 million meals to Feeding America, Huddle To Fight Hunger is the largest branded initiative Kraft has ever embarked on to fight hunger in America. The program combines three things Americans are passionate about: football, food and helping others. It also gives operators a chance to win a great trip while supporting a good cause.

Kraft will donate one meal to Feeding America for every case of participating Oreo and Planters Peanuts products operators purchase between Aug. 29 and Nov. 4, 2011, up to 100,000 meals. Participating products are 01546 Oreo 6-count. sleeve, 120/1.8-ounce, and 00036 Planters Peanuts, 144/2-ounce.

Upon purchase, operators will be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip for two to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl held in San Francisco on Dec. 31, 2011, with airfare, hotel and ground transportation expenses covered.

Operators are also invited to “Like” the program on Facebook (Facebook.com/KraftFightHunger) to have Kraft donate an additional meal to a local Feeding America food bank.

Hunger in America exists for more than 50 million people. About one in six Americans and nearly a quarter of the nation’s children are going hungry.

Through a network of more than 200 food banks and 61,000 agency partners, Feeding America provides meals to more than 37 million Americans annually.
