PepsiCo To Install Cashless Readers At University Of Florida

PepsiCo will add credit, debit and Gator 1 card readers to 200 vending machines on campus at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Students using their Gator 1 vending accounts at the machines will receive a 12-percent discount, according to The Independent Florida Alligator, the student newspaper.

Some vending industry observers bemoan the slow rate of adoption of cashless technology.
