Foodservice Industry Presents Concerns About Menu Label Rules To Food And Drug Administration

Foodservice associations presented their comments and concerns about proposed federal menu-labeling regulations to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Tuesday, the final day for submitting public comments on the legislation to the agency, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

Editor’s Insight: The food industry coalition called on the FDA to have reasonable calorie disclosure rules for foodservice establishments.

The National Automatic Merchandising Association similarly sought reasonable rules for vending machines.

Hopefully, the FDA will respond with feasible rules.
