Consumer Product Manufacturers Go Retro With New Packaging To Promote Brand Equity

Consumer product manufacturers such as Procter & Gamble Co., General Mills Inc. Hostess Brands Inc. and PepsiCo Inc. are pulling old package designs out of their archives to promote their brand equity, largely in response to private label competition, according to The Wall Street Journal.
