Beverage Container Recycling Sets Record In California

Beverage container recycling matched an all-time high in California in 2010, as Californians recycled 82 percent of their containers, according to The Sacramento Business Journal in Sacramento, Calif.

Businesses are more interested in recycling containers than ever, and refreshment service operators have an opportunity to help them this need with reverse vending machines. Some reverse vending machines break up the bottles and cans. Some scan the container and hold it in the machine and provide the consumer a redeemable receipt for each item recycled.
