California Automatic Vending Council Urges Vending Operators To Ask Lawmakers To Oppose Senate Bill 653

The California Automatic Vending Council is asking California vending operators to send a letter to their state legislators in opposition to Senate Bill 653, which would significantly alter California's tax structure by extending new taxing authority to counties and school districts. CAVC has provided a form letter for operators to use. To see a copy of the letter, click here.

Editor's Insight: California vending operators need to get on the phone and let their legislators know this bill will place undue financial burdens not only on businesses, but on consumers.

The California Automatic Vending Council recently held a series of meetings with lawmakers about this issue and others, but they did not speak with every lawmaker. Vending operators need to make sure they contact all legislators. Every California vending operator needs to be involved. 05-23-11 by Elliot Maras
