Vector Software, the leading provider of software testing applications for embedded systems, announced today that MEI Group has selected VectorCAST/C++ to increase its software development productivity.
With over two-billion transactions per week in more than 100 countries, MEI is a leading developer of unattended payment systems. The need to consistently deliver manageable and repeatable testing outcomes in complex systems led MEI to adopt a dynamic software analysis solution.
"As part of our selection process we evaluated several freeware and commercially available off the shelf applications." said Helen Muth, MEI senior director of engineering in a prepared statement. "We chose VectorCAST for its ease of use and full-featured functionality. VectorCAST was the only tool we evaluated able to run in our target environment."
MEI developers will use VectorCAST to enhance testing of their future telemetry solutions. Building upon the success of MEI's cashless and vending management solutions that use telemeters to access machine data, vending operators are able to check inventory and receive machine alerts from vending machines remotely, reducing operating costs.
