Industry Loses Robert J. Bradberry, Longtime Los Angeles Vending Operator

Robert J. Bradberry, founder and owner of R.J. Bradberry Vending since 1948, passed away in Malibu California. Bradberry, 88, was one of the original vending operators in Los Angeles and operated his company for more than 50 years prior to selling the operation to First Class Vending, also of Los Angeles, in 2003.

Bradberry began in vending after purchasing a bulk vending route after leaving the Air Force, focusing on the industrial and meat packing areas of Vernon, Southgate and Huntington Park.

At the time of the sale to First Class Vending, Bradberry operated 50 routes encompassing areas from Ventura to San Diego Counties and many Inland Empire locations.

Bradberry worked closely with National Vendors in the introduction of glass front machines and electronic coin mechanisms.
