National Automatic Merchandising Association Supervisor Development Program To Be Held Prior To OneShow In Chicago, April 25 To 27

The date for the National Automatic Merchandising Association's (NAMA) redesigned and updated Supervisor Development Program will be held prior to the NAMA OneShowSM at Chicago's McCormick Place North Monday through Wednesday, April 25 to 27.

The Supervisor Development Program is powerful and interactive and designed to provide the necessary tools and training for new supervisors, entry-level managers, mid-level supervisors and even non-supervisors who are accountable in their businesses.

The redesigned two and a half-day program is taught by industry professionals, business consultants and a university professor. New for 2011 will be a main focus for each day. For day one the focus will be on personal skills which includes leadership development, decision-making, time management, and communications. For day two the focus will be on managing and coaching skills, including problem solving, project management and effective employee management. Day three focuses on customer service and personal selling skills.

This year sessions have been extended and a new project management workshop has been added based on the needs of today's leaders. Mini-case studies, lively class discussion, interaction and brainstorming with other industry peers as well as group presentations address real work scenarios. The personal action plan is still the focal point of the program because it allows each participant to document new ideas and strategies after each session for immediate application when they return home.

Cost for the program has not increased from last year with member pricing still $1,299 for the first seat. Companies interested in sending more than one employee can take advantage of the $300 discount on each additional registrant from the company. The fee includes sessions led by industry leaders, several meals and breaks, learning materials and a graduation certificate.

Registration is now open at www.namaoneshow.org/attend/education. All program registrants are eligible for a 50 percent discount on their OneShow admission fee.
