Starbucks Corp. Raises Coffee Prices

Starbucks Corp. is raising the prices it charges retailers for packaged coffee by up to 12 percent to offset higher costs for beans, according to Reuters News.

During the National Automatic Merchandising Association CoffeeShow In Las Vegas last year, Miles Small, editor and co-owner of Coffee Talk Magazine, warned attendees that the increases would continue due to dwindling supply, rising demand, higher labor costs, higher transportation costs, and reduced plantable land.
