Mississippi Bill Designed To Examine Quality Food Access

House Bill 1170, now in conference committee, would create a study committee to examine the availability of healthy foods, fresh fruits and vegetables to Mississippians, according to The Clarion Ledger in Clarion, Miss.

Editor's Insight: The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) recognizes that vending can play an important role in improving food access to geographic regions that lack access. The association is working to make vending machines in such areas eligible for government funds at the federal level.
