Vending and foodservice industry veteran Herbert Sternberg recently passed away. Sternberg, 93, was retired from the vending industry, having worked at a number of vending companies, most recently at ARA Services (now Aramark) for more than 30 years before retiring in 1992.
"He was a mentor to me, especially in the vending business," said Jim Bimonte, a friend and a former vending operator.
Surviving Sternberg are his wife, Florence, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
