Performance Foodservice Roma To Expand Springfield, Mo. Distribution Facility

Performance Food Group (PFG), which owns Vistar Corp., announced it is expanding its 80,000 square-foot Performance Foodservice Roma - Springfield, Mo., distribution facility. The expansion will add 35,000 square feet to the current facility and provides PFG with significant capacity for growth.

"This is an exciting opportunity to be able to expand our business in our hometown," said Fred Dallas, president, Performance Foodservice Roma - Springfield, Mo., in a prepared statement.

Mac Pearce, president and CEO of Performance Foodservice, added "This expansion project is part of our continued investment in growing Performance Food Group. It is one of several facility expansions we have underway."

Performance Foodservice Roma - Springfield, Mo., serves over 1,500 customers throughout a 9-state area which includes pizzerias, Italian and Mexican restaurants, as well as regional chains. The expansion is estimated to add over 40 new jobs over the next five years to their existing workforce of over 100 employees.
