Fresh Healthy Vending, the healthy vending franchisor, announced its first franchise opening in Michigan with the appointment of Jim Rabourn of Grand Rapids. Local entrepreneur, Jim Rabourn recently launched his Healthy Vending franchise with support of San Diego, Calif.-based franchisor Fresh Healthy Vending.
"I recognized that the timing for this business is perfect due to the overall lack of healthy products. The lack of healthy products complemented by all of the people seeking healthy food alternatives made the decision a no-brainer. Now I get to operate a socially responsible business," said Rabourn in a prepared statement.
River Town Sports is a new Fresh Healthy Vending location operated by Rabourn and was one of the first locations to install Fresh Healthy Vending in the community. "This multi-sport complex has long been committed to sports and a healthy lifestyle so it's no surprise that we would be leading the way in offering healthy food and drink options," said Rick Rilett, manager of River Town. "We chose Fresh Healthy Vending because it's important to give our customers the opportunity to make healthier choices."
Another location recently taking the initiative was the Walker Ice and Fitness Center. "After we installed Fresh Healthy Vending at Walker Ice and Fitness we learned something important, when given a choice, people do choose the healthier snacks. Not just because they're healthy but because they taste so good," said Megan Streeter, fitness director.
Fresh Healthy Vending has already completed the sale of 50 franchises within the last 7 months prior to being featured in Bloomberg Business Week and MSNBC. Fresh Healthy Vending is on track to sell an additional 100 franchises in 2011 with an even larger expansion anticipated in 2012. The Fresh franchise appeals to socially-responsible, health-conscious entrepreneurs that are looking for a proven franchise system that works.
