Tri-State Automatic Merchandising Council Accepts Applications For John Boyle Memorial Scholarship

The Tri-State Automatic Merchandising Council, serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, is accepting applications for the John Boyle Memorial Scholarship to the 2011 Michigan State University (MSU)/National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Executive development Program. The scholarship is available to employees of companies that have been members of Tri-State and NAMA for five years or more. The applicant must be an employee who has been in the vending, coffee service, food service or related industries for five years or more, and holds a senior leadership or management position.

The John Boyle Memorial Scholarship recipient will receive full tuition to the 2011 MSU/NAMA Executive Development Program, Oct. 23 to 27, 2011, designed for senior level executives, business managers, and mid-level managers in the vending, coffee service, food service and related industries. This scholarship fund is a tribute to Boyle's desire to teach and educate so many in the vending industry. The scholarship, valued at $2,975, will cover tuition, materials, daily breakfast and lunch, plus two dinners. The winner must pay any additional costs, including all travel expenses and four nights' hotel room costs (special rate of $91to $111 per night at conference hotel).

Applicants must have been involved in the vending industry for a minimum of five years, and must currently hold a senior leadership or management position.

They must be a full-time employee of a business that has been a member of Tri-State and NAMA for five years or more.

The applicants must provide recommendations from three current co-workers, plus one recommendation from a member of the board of directors of Tri-State.

They must complete essay, as described in application.

The deadline for applications is May 15, 2011.
