Editor's Insight: VendingMarketWatch has long noted that vending machines have a unique ability to provide healthy food and beverages. But the fact that a major supermarket trade publication makes this observation carries more weight with food and beverage manufacturers since far more manufacturers are in the supermarket industry than the vending industry.
If more food and beverage manufacturers can be convinced that the vending industry is a good channel for marketing healthy products, vending operators will have more "better for you" products to offer consumers.
