Buffalo Rock Co. Files Suit Against PepsiCo

Birmingham, AL-based Buffalo Rock Company has filed suit against PepsiCo and others for violating its franchise agreements and intruding into its exclusive territories granted to Buffalo Rock Co. by PepsiCo. The suit was filed in the circuit court of Jefferson County, AL, on January 15, 2019.

Buffalo Rock Co. said in an official statement, "For years, we have tried to resolve this issue by working proactively with PepsiCo to address our ongoing concerns. Unfortunately, after years of discussions with PepsiCo, the problem has not been resolved, and we feel we have no choice but to file suit to protect our Company and our employees."

Buffalo Rock Co. Buffalo Rock is the largest independent single shareholder owned Pepsi Bottler in the U.S, according its website. It is a fourth generation family business founded in 1901.  

"It is our responsibility to protect our company, our employees and their families, and the integrity of our franchise agreements," continued the statement made by Buffalo Rock Co. "We hope and expect to resolve this issue favorably but in a way that allows us to continue our longstanding partnership with PepsiCo."
