The evermart kit, which can be built into a cooler that is equipped with an electronic lock, instantly turns it into a state-of-the-art unattended retail solution.

Zsolt Vaszary and his Hungarian-based team from tech startup e-Ventor developed the evermart kit, which can be built into a cooler that is equipped with an electronic lock, instantly turning it into a state-of-the-art unattended retail solution. Vaszary urges operators to embrace this type of technology to help level the playing field in the industry.

Powers PicoCooler Breeze: The evermart kit powers the PicoCooler Breeze, which was released this spring. The technology allows operators to install markets in high-traffic, totally unattended locations. “This creates a tremendous opportunity for operators of all sizes, especially smaller operators who are desperately searching for a competitive advantage,” Zsolt said. “Technology like the evermart kit can set an operator apart.”

Seeking full potential: “In many workplaces, the self-checkout micro markets are the best fit, but the full potential of micro markets can only be seen in more open spaces like airports, hospitals, hotels and other prime locations for operators,” Zsolt explained.

Product theft – not an issue: Zsolt said that theft concerns in public locations are mitigated by the introduction of controlled access coolers such as the PicoCooler Breeze. “With door control, along with real-time product recognition as products are picked up by the end user, public locations become viable for operators,” he added.

The evermart kit comes with an intuitive smartphone app that is designed to support route drivers.

Features of the driver app

The existing, super-intuitive app offers key features to route drivers.

  • Automated planogram – Simply scan and place items to change or set up planogram. The app displays the appropriate slots where a specific product needs to be loaded as per the defined planogram.
  • Intuitive loading with instant feedback. A color code system on the app makes it easy for drivers to confirm that products are properly placed on a shelf.
  • Real-time monitoring and visualization of products.
  • Continuous logging of stock movement combined with time stamped video.
  • Easy to install, plug-and-play setup.

Focused on operator needs: “Everything involved with evermart technology is designed to benefit the operator and make the end user experience faster and completely frictionless. Ultimately, it all points to lower costs and higher revenues for operators,” Zsolt explained.
