Vend Sentinel gives parents and schools a way to control what children eat without eliminating soda and candy from vending machines with a new system. Launched at the 2007 ANC School Nutrition Show in Chicago, Vend Sentinel was met with resounding approval by the attendees of the show. Parents log into the internet and select the items in the school vending machine that their child can and cannot purchase. Sentinel even has prepaid product features which allow parents to prepay for milk or other items at a discount. Those items are what the child can have from the vending machines.
